Launching a new magazine is a bit like opening a shop. You’ve done your market research, you’ve kitted out the interior, you’ve recruited new staff and you’ve bought loads of stock based on what you think your customers want. You’re pretty confient that you’ve judged things correctly and that on Day One there will be enough to tempt customers in and to keep them coming back. You know also that in the coming months your offering will evolve and change based on customer feedback, new opportunities and changing demand.
This issue is our shop window. It gives you a good indication of our product mix and what we are trying to do. But it is just a starting point, and in the coming months we will be taking notice of your advice and suggestions to refie the content. One area we are already developing is our engagement with you, the resellers. Vendors and distributors are very good at telling us where opportunities exist, but only you can tell us about the challenges you face – and how they can be overcome.
